Current Premiere Hockey Services player and former NHLer Denis Chasse has signed a contract extension to play the 1999-2000 season with the Bracknell Bees of the British Super League.

The 29 year old Chasse a former NHL standout player with the St. Louis Blues over three seasons signed a contract possibly making him the highest paid player in the Super League, an amount has yet to be disclosed.

PHS placed Chasse last season with Bracknell, where he tallied 43 points in 38 games, 133 Pim.  The Bees made a serious run at the cup to only fall short, but many felt that Chasse's style, grit and experience were a factor in that run.  "No doubt that he is the most talented player in this league and could still play in the National Hockey League" said one Super League general manager.

Chasse's professional hockey career spans over eight seasons that included NHL stints with Ottawa, St. Louis, Washington and Winnipeg.  A gritty prolific scorer with the Quebec Major Junior League's Drummondville, Chicoutimi, Verdon and St. Jean Lynx.   Chasse was signed as a Free Agent by the Quebec Nordiques but traded to the St. Louis Blues shortly thereafter.

Many feel that Chasses best hockey has yet to be played and a possible NHL contract possibly forthcoming.
