Former National Hockey League player Denis Chasse has signed and been placed by Premiere Hockey Services.
Dan Delaney, Director of Hockey Operations for Premiere Hockey Services has announced that Chasse has been placed and signed with the Bracknell Bees of the British/European Superleague. Chasse is no stranger to European hockey, having played last season in the DEL for both Mannheim and Augsburg, which is the top elite division league in Germany and is made up of former NHL, IHL and AHL player personnel.
Denis was signed as a Free Agent by the Quebec Nordiques May 14th, 1991 and was traded to the St. Louis Blues along with teammate Steve Duchesne for Garth Butcher, Ron Sutter and Bob Bassen.
His rookie season in the National Hockey League for the St. Louis Blues (1994-1995) Denis had eight points in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and was third in Blues scoring only behind sniper Bret Hull and playmaker and current Detroit Redwing Brendan Shanaham.
Denis has also seen career stops with the Ottawa Senators, Winnipeg Jets of the NHL, Worchester, Cornwall, Halifax of the AHL and Drummondville, Chicoutimi, Verdun and St. Jean of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
